Bush vs. Caesar essays

Bramble versus Caesar papers Washington won't alter its perspective; it will depend on power even without U.N. approval. In January 49 BC, Julius Caesar had a significant choice to make with himself. He was to either conform to the Senates order to stay at the Rubicon River and not to assault Pompey, or he would progress over the waterway and assault. It was illegal to cross the stream and move into Italy with a military and whenever done was viewed as injustice. Today, President Bush has the decision of consenting to the UN chiefs choices and permitting more opportunity for weapons overseers to look for Saddams weapons of mass devastation before sending in troops, or to send in the marines and start a war with Iraq. Caesar has his soldiers at the edge of the Rubicon bantering on whether to attack Pompey. Does he cross the waterway alone, or comply with the requests to remain? I accept this is the point wherein President Bush has come to. Our American officers are now in the neighboring nation of Kuwait and out on ships in the sea anticipating the order. Caesar dithered from the outset, however sounded the trumpet and walked forward over the stream to meet Pompey against the Senates orders. Once over the waterway he overcomes Pompey effortlessly. Now, it appears that we are going in Caesars heading and will go into Iraq without the UNs endorsement. The United States will in all probability be dismissed from the UN Security Council yet as long Iraq and Saddam Hussein are vanquished with negligible misfortunes, I think it is one stage in overcoming psychological warfare. The UN has been standing by unreasonably long for goals with Iraq. We have vanquished them before in Desert Storm and I trust Bus h is returning to knock off Iraq for good. ... <!

One of my old, genuinely harmless posts has been ascending the ubiquity records: The Importance of Science in Our Lives. It’s only a connect to an article online with a little editorial. I see on my insights pages that many individuals show up utilizing google searches of â€Å"Importance of Science.† I wonder if this is a typical school task for understudies, e.g., â€Å"Write about the significance of science in the cutting edge world† or some other comparable variety, and afterward off they go to google to find their solutions as opposed to having an independent perspective. All things considered, those are ten of mine. I could intricate or additionally legitimize each of these, yet for the time being I will leave these here to age some more. There’s a darker rendition of this rundown that would discuss weapons, atomic bombs, and that's only the tip of the iceberg, however I’ll pass on that unt il further notice. Informal Learning Experience free essay sample

This paper will talk about how my sisters’ chronic drug use has been a casual learning experience for me and how my life has been affected attempting to assist her with this enslavement. I will examine how her involvement in drugs happened through old style molding by, distinguishing the unconditioned upgrade, unconditioned reaction, adapted improvement, and the molded reaction. I will likewise clarify how her experience happened through operant molding by portraying the conduct, the outcomes, and fortifications of her chronic drug use. At long last, I will address how my learning experience happened through intellectual social learning and how impacts of media and partiality played a factor. Experiencing childhood in an unassuming community with no aspiration to set objectives and your everything about your companions, you will head down a dim desolate way. At 17 years old, my sister Kaitlin concluded that her companions comprehended what was best for and took to drugs. She stuck around an inappropriate groups and the ecological improvement overshadowed sustain. We will compose a custom article test on Casual Learning Experience or then again any comparative theme explicitly for you Don't WasteYour Time Recruit WRITER Just 13.90/page My mother would not like to accept that her little girl was dependent on drugs. It wasn’t until the cops indicated my mother an image from the ATM machine, which demonstrated Kaitlin pulling back cash and things in house fired coming up missing. July of 2009 our Dad was hit by an alcoholic driver. I imagined this would be Kaitlin’s huge reminder. She realized that our dad needed her to get perfect and how glad she would make him on the off chance that she kicked this dependence. In August 2009, I permitted Kaitlin to move in with me and my family. Obviously, she had exacting rules and rules to follow or I wouldn’t delay to show her out. She selected at the junior college and thought she was alright. after 2 weeks, I saw that checks were clearing under a financial balance that I never contact. Low and be hold Kaitlin was producing my name to my checks and pulling back a large number of dollars. I squeezed chargers on her for phony and robbery. Now, I have had enough; I had 3 children that I expected to pay special mind to their prosperity. I couldn’t burn through any longer time or exertion on my sister. It was strong but fair affection starting now and into the foreseeable future. Kaitlin spiraled crazy. In September 2009, our sibling connected with me to help get Kaitlin in a recovery program out of the territory of Maryland or we would cover another relative. We found a spot in Louisiana that had a 90% achievement rate. To make a long story short in 2012 Kaitlin winds up pregnant. Swears here and there she is perfect and hasn’t been utilizing. On March tenth, 2013, my niece (Peyton) was conceived, dependent on heroin and various different medications. I have opened my heart and home to this magnificent child young lady. She is a genuine gift. I needed to disappear from nonattendance from work without pay to accommodate Peyton. It was an unpleasant 2 months watching her go through withdrawals. She is right around a year old and flourishing. Shockingly, being pregnant couldn’t make Kaitlin quit utilizing drugs. Right up 'til the present time she is as yet utilizing drugs. Kaitlin’s dependence began with old style molding, a learning procedure that happens through relationship between an ecological improvement and a normally happening boost. Behaviorism depends on the presumption that learning happens through associations with the earth (Cherry, n. d). A nonpartisan boost turns into an adapted upgrade equipped for creating a given reaction subsequent to being over and over gave the unconditioned (huge) improvement (Carpenter Huffman, 2010). For instance, a junkie may utilize moving papers, a funnel, or a syringe, and so on (restrictive boost) contingent upon the medication of their decision. A someone who is addicted will in the end desire the medication of decision within the sight of these things (adapted reaction), in any event, when the medication isn't current (unconditioned upgrade). The nonattendance of the real medication will prompt a mind-boggling want to utilize, (unrestricted reaction). At the point when the medications and all the things are available and their body is experiencing withdrawals, when the adapted and unconditioned upgrades happen together, the fiend is feeble. Operant molding (instrumental molding) is a technique for discovering that happens through remunerations and disciplines for conduct (Cherry, n. d). Operant molding has not worked for my sister. One would feel that losing your kid would be discipline in its self. Or on the other hand confronting prison time for burglary. Despite the fact that Kaitlin is confronted with the potential outcomes, for example, prison time, the loss of her youngster, and perhaps passing, she despite everything gives no indications of needing assistance. Before a junkie can get the assist they with expecting to concede that they have an issue. On the in addition to side, due to Kaitlins compulsion, I was compensated with a lovely child young lady. Intellectual Social learning alludes to a mental model of conduct. Learning happens in a social setting and what is discovered is increased through perception. Addicts have mentalities, convictions, desires, inspirations, and feelings that influence learning (Carpenter Huffman, 2010). There are three center ideas of social learning. To begin with, is the possibility that individuals can learn through perception. Second, the possibility that interior mental states are a basic piece of this procedure. Third, this hypothesis perceives that since something has been scholarly, it doesn't imply that it will bring about an adjustment in conduct (Denler, H. , Wolters, C. , Benzon, M, 2014). Chronic drug use assumes a significant job with your psychological perspective. Kaitlin is presently 27 years of age yet has the cerebrum mindset of a multi year old. She is bipolar and an energizer. Its said to need to kick back and watch the medications consume her cerebrum and realizing that her psychological perspective will keep on falling apart. Media and bias on learning can impact child rearing practices, the general culture, and individual youngster factors. It basically bodes well for guardians and different grown-ups to screen the sum and substance of the media kids are utilizing. Grown-ups must ponder the sorts of impacts kids are presented to all the time and settle on cognizant choices dependent on the individual youngsters included (Cook, J. L, 2010) . It isnt TV in essence that has positive or negative impacts, however what is depicted and how families handle it. In the event that guardians conversed with their youngsters about illicit drug use and how this is a hard infection to over come. How medications are unsafe to their wellbeing and the various sorts of outcomes you would be confronted with, on the off chance that you decided to utilize drugs. Would help manage our kids the correct way. Telling kids that something is awful, a great deal of times gives them that interest of needing to attempt it at any rate. I utilize my sister has an extraordinary guide to my kids on why you shouldnt use drugs. They got the opportunity to see direct what medications can to do you, and seeing poor little Peyton experience withdrawals, broke their little hearts. I think their should more commercials on TV and on boards about illicit drug use, advising youngsters not to utilize drugs. All in all, my casual learning involvement in managing a medication dependent sister, has made me fully aware of the sort of condition we live in. Despite the fact that I converse with my kids about medications, it despite everything stresses me as they get more seasoned, will their companions have more force and attempt to convince them down an inappropriate way or will they tune in and utilize their Aunt has a case of what not to do? The choices we make in life will either frequent us or make us a superior individual. Traditional molding is an educated conduct that occurs with or without the nearness of the boost. Operant molding is realizing that there are ramifications for this scholarly conduct (sedate use), that outcomes in discipline (loss of your little girl, the nearness of old companions, spots and things bringing about conceivable backslide). Intellectual social learning is going to the acknowledgment that through support and recuperation programs, tuning in to different addicts stories, and perceiving how a few addicts decided to recoup.

The film presents Marjane as a young girl, going from a westernized lifestyle to hide her real identity for the safety of her family. Being an Islamic country, Iraq is characterized by civil wars from neighboring countries in the fight for resources and boundary conflicts. Marjane’s parent fight against the Shah indicates they were revolutionaries. They understand the gender oppression in relation to the Islamic religion, especially with the new leadership regime. Resistance to the new regime led to violence and death of many, especially women and children. Marjane went for a boarding school at Vienna after expansion due to misbehaving to ensure her safety. The comic film portrays women on leap and bound, provoking debate on the role of women in the Islamic society. The Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis graphic film elaborates the role and position of women during and after the Islamic revolution as the author depicts her childhood up to her early adulthood in Iran with the use of black and white comic strips within the film. The film depicts a division in the Islamic classes, forming a traditional class and modern class with different values of women’s role and responsibilities in the family as well as the society. The film provides a number of factors that reflect women marginalization in Iran experienced in the educational system, Islamic laws addressing the issue on marriage, the right for women to divorce, the dressing code and the polygamy perspectives. The initiation of the Reza Shah rule on modernization in 1930 gave a break to the traditional segregation of women in education and political representation, a period that recorded the highest number of girls students and women representation in government offices. From the author’s perspective, the position of women in Islamic countries like Iran in every cultural and custom perspective enlightened women on their potential to improve their role and responsibilities in the society. Spending a larger part of the lifetime in Iran, Marjane Satrapi brings forth a true picture of the Iran society depicting all the different aspects of life. The Islamic revolution as depicted in the film brings about chaos and turmoil in the lives of Iranian people as they struggle to resist bad leadership characterized by discrimination and violation of women rights. How to Write Successful Persuasive Speech

How to Write Successful Persuasive Speech First of all, you need to define a clear idea of your speechs purpose: what you want your audience to make as a result of it. This idea should stay in your mind throughout all the writing. You can draft a beginning that will call to action, asking your listeners to do what you plan them to do. You need to prepare several solid reasons why they must do that. To bring really serious and weighty reasons, we recommend a brainstorming technique. First, you can write down 6-10 reasons and, after you choose the most argumentative one, it is useful to group reasons into three columns and then rank them according to their importance. But the most significant moment for successful persuasive speech is information about your audience. Who are they? Consider their gender, age, education and other factors that may influence the perception of your speech. Now that you know what you want to say, your purpose is to understand how it is better to deliver this information to let your listeners hear and understand your ideas. You may rank the arguments by their importance in one way, but for the audience it can be whole other ranking. In this case you need to re-rank your list to make it more suitable for the listeners. In this way the persuasive speech will be effective. It is also necessary to predict possible reaction or questions and to answer them in your speech before the listeners will ask them. So, you always must be two steps ahead of your audience. One more key point for your success with persuasive speech is using only reliable sources. Figures and facts will bring more weight to your speech. The tips listed above are simple, but extremely effective. Once mastered them, you will become effective speaker.

Organ Procurement And Transplantation Network - 2065 Words

How do you like to wait for something you really want? What if it was something you just couldn’t live without? What if your doctor told you that your time was limited to less than six months, unless a compatible donor came along? This is what many people go through every day. They are put in the â€Å"National Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network or OPTN† which is the transplant waiting list (Tara.B). Organs that become available through the OPTN are matched with the recipients. Here is where most of the people will wait months, years, or even the remainder of their life for a compatible donor to become available. When there is a potential donor there is a small window to make the miracle happen. Many people will receive a call†¦show more content†¦Your age doesn’t make you ineligible to donate and you don’t have to be in perfect health like many people think. This means almost everyone is able to be an organ donor. In the end your ability to donate is determined at the time of your passing. That doesn’t mean that you cannot register as a donor right now. There are more than enough people on the transplant list to fill a stadium more than twice. So, someone you know could be on the transplant list, waiting for a new organ. On average there are â€Å"†¦ 79 people that will receive a new organ daily and on average 22 people die each day in hopes of receiving a new organ† (Gonzalez). Men On The Moon The Apollo Story Essay Example For Students

Men On The Moon The Apollo Story Essay For years, man has looked up at the stars and wondered, what power they possessed or from what great God were they born? The answer to this question has always been a dream to man, but the dream is getting closer to reality. Space travel in the 1960s was become a reality, but man went farther with his expectations. Man now wanted to land and walk on the the only one of Earths natural satellites know as the Moon. The splashdown May 26, 1969, of Apollo 10 cleared the way for the first formal attempt at a manned lunar landing.1 The 363-foot-tall Apollo 11 space vehicle was launched from Pad A, Launch Complex 39, Kennedy Space Center, at 9:37 a. m., July 16, 1969. It was the United States first lunar landing mission. The launch vehicle, AS-506, was the sixth in the Apollo Saturn V series and was the fourth manned Saturn V vehicle. After a 2?-hour check-out period, the spacecraft was injected into the translunar phase of the mission.2 ? July 1996 marks the twenty-seventh anniversary of the epochal lunar landing of Apollo 11 in the summer of 1969. Although President John F. Kennedy had made a public commitment on 25 May 1961 to land an American on the Moon by the end of the decade, up until this time Apollo had been all promise. Now the realization was about to begin. Even though Kennedys political objectives were essentially achieved with the decision to go to the Moon, Project Apollo took on a life of its own over the years and left an important legacy to both the nation and the proponents of space exploration. Its success was enormously significant, coming at a time when American society was in crisis.?3 A unique confluence of political necessity, personal commitment and activism, scientific and technological ability, economic prosperity, and public mood made possible the 1961 decision to carry out an aggressive lunar landing program. It then fell to NASA, other organizations of the federal government, and the aerospace community to accomplish the task set out in a few short paragraphs by the president. By the time that the goal was accomplished in 1969, only a few of the key figures associated with the decision were still in leadership positions in the government. Kennedy fell victim to an assassins bullet in 1963, and science adviser Jerome B. Wiesner returned to MIT soon afterwards. Lyndon B. Johnson, of course, succeeded Kennedy as president but left office in January 1969 just a few months before the first landing. NASA Administrator James E. Webb resolutely guided NASA through most of the 1960s, but his image was tarnished by, among other things, a 1967 Apollo accident that killed three astronauts. He retired from office in October 1968. Several other early supporters of Apollo in Congress and elsewhere died during the 1960s and never saw the program successfully completed. The first Apollo mission of public significance was the flight of Apollo 8. On 21 December 1968 it took off atop a Saturn V booster from the Kennedy Space Center. Three astronauts were aboardFrank Borman, James A. Lovell, Jr., and William A. Anders- -for a historic mission to orbit the Moon. At first that mission had been planned as a flight to test Apollo hardware in the relatively safe confines of low Earth orbit, but senior engineer George M. Low of the Manned Spacecraft Center at Houston, Texas, and Samuel C. Phillips, Apollo Program Manager at NASA headquarters, obtained approval to make it a circumlunar flight. The advantages of this could be important, they believed, both in technical and scientific knowledge gained as well as in a public demonstration of what the U. .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 , .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .postImageUrl , .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 , .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:hover , .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:visited , .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:active { border:0!important; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:active , .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777 .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uc786958d8f941af7e710f104a5e44777:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Should we have Dropped the Atomic Bomb? EssayS. could achieve. After Apollo 8 made one and a half Earth orbits its third stage began a burn to put the spacecraft on a lunar trajectory. It orbited the Moon on 24-25 December and then fired the boosters for a return flight; it splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on 27 December. The public reaction to the Apollo 8 circumlunar mission was enthusiastic. It rekindled the excitement felt in the early 1960s during the first Mercury flights, and set the stage for the Apollo landing missions. Perhaps most important, the flight was a significant accomplishment because it came at a time when American society was in crisis over Vietnam, race relations, urban problems, and a host of other difficulties. And if only for a few moments the nation united as one to focus on this epochal event. Two Apollo Earth- orbital missions occurred before the climax of the program, but they did little more than confirm that the time had come in mid- 1969 for a lunar landing. That landing came during the flight of Apollo 11, which lifted off on 16 July 1969 and, after confirmation that the hardware was working well, began the three day trip to the Moon. Then, at 4:18 p.m. EST on 20 July 1969 the Lunar Modulewith astronauts Neil A. Armstrong and Edwin E. Aldrin aboardlanded on the surface of the Moon while Michael Collins orbited overhead in the Apollo Command Module. After checkout, Armstrong set foot on the surface, telling millions who saw and heard him on Earth that it was one small step for manone giant leap for mankind. Aldrin soon followed him out, and the two plodded around the landing site in the 1/6 lunar gravity, planted an American flag but omitted claiming the land for the U.S. as had been routinely done during European exploration of the Americas, collected soil and rock samples, and set up scientific experiments. The next day they launched back to the Apollo capsule orbiting overhead and began the return trip to Earth, splashing down in the Pacific on 24 July. The flight of Apollo 11 met with an ecstatic reaction around the globe, as everyone shared in the success of the mission. Ticker tape parades, speaking engagements, public relations events, and a world tour by the astronauts served to create good will both in the U.S. and abroad. Five more landing missions followed at approximately six month intervals through December 1972, each of them increasing the time spent on the Moon. Three of the latter Apollo missions used a lunar rover vehicle to travel in the vicinity of the landing site, but none of them equalled the excitement of Apollo 11. The scientific experiments placed on the Moon and the lunar soil samples returned through Project Apollo have provided grist for scientists investigations of the Solar System ever since. The scientific return was significant, but the Apollo program did not answer conclusively the age-old questions of lunar origins and evolution. Project Apollo in general, and the flight of Apollo 11 in particular, should be viewed as a watershed in the nations history. It was an endeavor that demonstrated both the technological and economic virtuousity of the United States and established national preeminence over rival nationsthe primary goal of the program when first envisioned by the Kennedy administration in 1961. It had been an enormous undertaking, costing $25.4 billion, aproxemently $95 billion in 1990 dollars, with only the building of the Panama Canal rivaling the Apollo programs size as the largest non-military technological endeavor ever undertaken by the United States and only the Manhattan Project to build the atomic bomb in World War II being comparable in a wartime setting. .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c , .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .postImageUrl , .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c , .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:hover , .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:visited , .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:active { border:0!important; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:active , .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u4bc742920d553e215d913de64c446c8c:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: The Atomic Bomb in World War II Essay There are several important ?legacies? about Project Apollo that need to be remembered at the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. First, and probably most important, the Apollo program was successful in accomplishing the political goals for which it had been created. Kennedy had been dealing with a Cold War crisis in 1961 brought on by several separate factorsthe Soviet orbiting of Yuri Gagarin and the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion only two of themthat Apollo was designed to combat. At the time of the Apollo 11 landing Mission Control in Houston flashed the words of President Kennedy announcing the Apollo commitment on its big screen. Those phrases were followed with these: TASK ACCOMPLISHED, July 1969. No greater understatement could probably have been made. Any assessment of Apollo that does not recognize the accomplishment of landing an American on the Moon and safely returning before the end of the 1960s is incomplete and innaccurate, for that was the primary goal of the undertaking. Second, Project Apollo was a triumph of management in meeting enormously difficult systems engineering and technological integration requirements. James E. Webb, the NASA Administrator at the height of the program between 1961 and 1968, always contended that Apollo was much more a management exercise than anything else, and that the technological challenge, while sophisticated and impressive, was largely within grasp at the time of the 1961 decision. More difficult was ensuring that those technological skills were properly managed and used. Webbs contention was confirmed in spades by the success of Apollo. NASA leaders had to acquire and organize unprecedented

Future of BBC

Question: Write a report on the Future of BBC. Answer: Abstract This report presents the framework regarding the Future of BBC. BBC or British Broadcasting Corporation is the broadcasting company of Britain. This report presents the framework where current director general of BBC is seeking towards restructuring the BBC. This report presents some major areas of debate regarding the future of the BBC within the media sector of world. According to the new director general, BBC needs to adopt a culture of innovation. BBC should acquire the new phase of internet technology for providing best as well as distinctive and proper content towards the people. It has been found from this report that public has demanded a free as well as independent BBC without any sort of political influence. Introduction: This report deals with the future of British Broadcasting Corporation or BBC. The BBC is the public service broadcaster of United Kingdom. It was founded in 1922 in London. BBC is operated by Royal Charter of UK. This media corporation is independent of the direct intervention of government. In every ten years, a process of review goes on that mainly considers the future activities of BBC. This review process helps to shape the future role of BBC. For this aspect, BBC should remain within its universal service. It is free from the intervention of the government of UK. However, it should be free from the politics and corruption of politics. Politics-free BBC can bring the huge range of benefits to the people of United Kingdom (Collins and Purnell 2014). In the document, British Bold, and Creative, one point of debate has been raised that BBC should be fitted to the internet. In the media show discussion entitled Future of the BBC: the Media Show Debate', five issues have been addressed by the speakers. In this discussion, the aspect of funding, directing and governing have been discussed by the speakers. In the aspect of online BBC, the fee structure of the audience should also be changed. They have debated over the funding program of BBC. For this report, the chosen topic of discussion is underlined within the aspect of the internet in BBC and license fee (Anderson and Egglestone 2012). Findings and Analysis: BBC and internet: There are massive changes in the internet technology within the whole world. At the time of its foundation, wireless technology was very limited to television and radio. However, the society has been changed. It has been seen over the many years; the society has become too much technology oriented. In the top-down society, people always should be informed, entertained and educated by the media. Every broadcaster should have the adequate responsibility to tell the audience (Van et al. 2012). However, it has been also noticed that the emergence of the internet has changed the scenario of media. The traditional broadcasting elements have been modified by the time with the advent of the internet. However, the internet has not replaced the radio and television or another traditional medium. Radio 2 of BBC has 15 m listeners in a week. There are different customers for the programs of radio BBC. However, British Broadcasting Corporation is willing to be fitted with the internet technology. However, there are many significant events or national incidents in the United Kingdom. The long-term direction of BBC is included in making the active program on an internet. However, the main motto of BBC is to become the creative partner of United Kingdom through its innovative and politics free program. BBC has started broadcasting some shows through the application of mobile phone (Strmberg 2015). The Broadcaster's Audience Research Board (Barb) has provided the initial result of the TV player report. This report has presented the statistics of viewing a program on the device of a television set. Some programs of BBC can be seen through smartphones, computers and tablets and other devices. With the enhancement of technology, BBC has also taken the help of different application of the internet (www.downloads.bbc.co.uk 2016). According to the TV player report of Barb, Great British Bake Off' of BBC1 is a favorite show. It is one of the on-demand programs of BBC. This show has received 411,700 Average Program Streams (APS) across iPlayer websites and IOS application. More than 11.1 million or 39% individual people watched this show via television at the regular time of this show. However, 2.6 million people watched this show via PVR (www.gov.uk 2016). Doctor who' is considered as the favorite show of BBC1. 6.5 million Individual people attended this series of Doctor Show. As per the statistics of TV Player report, the show Doctor Who' has received 195,100 APS. This episode always has received 202,900 APS after one day. This show was broadcasted against the coverage of ITV regarding England vs. Wales Rugby World Cup Match. It has been noted that 5.2 million including 2 million via PVR watched Doctor Who' rather than traditional and exciting Rugby match. Every episode of this Doctor's serried got the great level of APS by every week (www.gov.uk 2016). However, Collins (2013) discussed that the current Director General Tony Hall is going to provide content of the organization for the next generation of the world. This person will fight for retaining the system of public funding of BBC. According to the concept of the current Director General, the content of BBC will be more open to achieving the competitive success within this age of the internet. British, Bold, and Creative: Current Director General of BBC, Tony Hall has laid his vision regarding the future of BBC in the document titled British, Bold, and Creative'. This paper provides the information relating to the upcoming reform or the future of the BBC. British Bold and Creative are considered as an effective material that gives the necessary information about the future of BBC. In this report, Director General Tony Hall has given his vision; those are as follows: Cultural and local partnership: Tony Hall has recommended that the new set of BBC will always consider the local culture of Britain. The content of BBC will be involved in making active cooperation with the local as well as a national culture of England. Britain's greatest cultural force will be evaluated through the program of BBC. Apart from this cultural bonding, BBC will also work with the local newspapers (Wintour 2015). Personalization: Tony Hall is open in the idea of platform thinking'. This means that the organization will give the chance to the audience to providing news. BBC will take the curatorial role. BBC will apply platform thinking for the online products. A new stream of BBC: BBC will introduce the new flow of news. BBC is all set to move to streaming news from rolling news. BBC will offer new the mobile-focused product of BBC new stream. This stream will deliver stories as well as videos, text and graphics to different mobile devices of people. Service of Ideas: Ideas service will provide international views on the news. The idea of this service is to bring together the history, culture, arts and science and ideas of worldwide. Many recognized institutions of Arts and culture will make the content for this ideas service. Audiences will subscribe the platforms of BBC Four, Radio 4, Radio 3, BBC Three and BBC Learning. Ideas Service will get the required benefit from the cultural and academic institutions of Britain (Anderson and Egglestone 2012). IPLAY: BBC has maintained the culture of entertainment and education among the people. BBC has continued it's strong and good track record to educate and entertain the children of this region. BBC will launch a dedicated online platform that is called IPLAY. Learning and making' is considered as the core area of IPLAY. Dedicated service of music streaming: BBC has aimed to provide 50,000 tracks of music for the people. Audiences will be able to access the music via pre-loaded playlists. They can also build the list of music on their own. They will introduce an excellent service of music which can benefit both the audiences and artists. Music product of BBC will be fully integrated with digital providers. Content aggregation: New form of BBC will explore opportunities for more original content for the audience. BBC will enhance its quality and also the level of houses as well as numbers of viewers. BBC will provide live and on-demand programs from different stations. The committee will also ensure an adequate video service for the critical mass of Britain. New Format of BBC: According to the BBC Trust, public will support the new format and structure of independent as well as universal BBC. However, BBC Trust has also found the aspect that BBC Corporation must take the distinctive approach towards its broadcasting program. BBC Trust has given the formal response to the Green paper on British Government. BBC Trust has found evidence of public support for universal, modern as well as entertaining BBC.' However, public has also demanded that BBC should be publicly funded organization. BBC Trust has published the report on behalf of the 40000 responses of people (Strmberg 2015). Therefore, the consultation describes the fact that 58% group of public has the belief that BBC should always provide important things for everyone. Two third of people think that BBC should go for the online platform to develop its service of broadcasting. It has been found that the online platform has become one of the most positive aspects of the broadcasting genre. Everyone has started taking the advantage of the online forum for enhancing the number of the customers as well as viewers. BBC should introduce an online forum for the extended level of public. Apart from this, BBC Trust has also found that 81% people have the demand that BBC should act as independent body free from politics (Gannag-Stewart 2015). According to the report of BBC Trust, BBC should introduce a new set of public purposes as well as duties and values. According to BBC Trust, the ambition of BBC can impact on the people within the society. BBC should deliver effective dealings of broadcast with more efficient manner. It should provide commitment towards the viewers of the society. According to the recommendation of BBC Trust, service license should be restructured as per the requirement of current practice. The distinctiveness of each service of BBC should be included in the new reform of the service license of BBC. The restricting of service license can become an important aspect of measuring the performance of the service of British Broadcasting Corporation. According to the BBC Trust, the distinctiveness of performance will be measured effectively with the new set of service license of BBC. According to the findings of BBC Trust, 60% people consider BBC as distinctive.' On the other hand, 73% people have the belief that the output of BBC can be regarded as high quality.' However, the primary objective of British Broadcasting Corporation is to educate, inform and entertain' people through its efficient service of broadcasting. BBC as a media organization has taken the responsibility to inform and educate as well as entertain people of the society through it's distinctive or high quality program of broadcasting. BBC is an independent or public body of programming (Over et al. 2007). In this perspective, BBC Trust has also found that only 7% people want that BBC should reduce its output in the competitive market of media and broadcasting. However, 56% people of the society have demanded more authentic as well as high quality content from different programs of British Broadcasting Corporation. BBC has extraordinary support to become more relevant broadcasters of this age. According to the chairman of BBC Trust, every person supports an independent and universal BBC. They want that BBC should broadcast the program that is at the heart of the culture of Britain (Anderson and Egglestone 2012). Conclusion and recommendation: From the above study, it can be discussed that people has the demand for more comprehensive and distinctive BBC. It has been noticed that the popularity of some shows of BBC is increasing. However, restructuring in some part is very necessary for the future development of British Broadcasting Corporation within the areas of England. It has been recommended that the company should enhance its operation through more research and development process. BBC should consider the advancement of internet technology for providing adequate services to the audiences. On the other hand, from the findings of the different report, it can be assumed that most of the people have gone against the license fee of BBC. BBC online will enhance the database of young consumers. BBC should provide more focus on the aspect of radio. BBC should take cohesive role while entertaining, educating and informing audiences. The British, bold and creative' tag should provide useful guidance for the future content of th e program of BBC. Interview Questions: Tell me what is your opinion about British Bold and Creative? Please tell us your opinion about license fees of the BBC? Do you prefer to see BBC programs via online platform? What is your opinion about more tech savvy BBC? International Relations Term Paper Writing Guide

International Relations Term Paper Writing Guide International relations is a broad subject area with interrelated topics focusing on politics, economics, sociology, anthropology, and human rights, among others. Suppose this semester’s units in international relations focus on politics and economics, your professor is likely to assign you term paper assignments that require you to analyze international relations from a specific angle or examine the causes and effects of current events, trends, and policies. Therefore, your international relations paper should focus on choosing the right theme for the term paper to ensure you develop a high-quality international relations assignment. Your professor may assign you a term paper to assess your ability to grasp content, your level of understanding of concepts in international relations, your ability to synthesize theories in international relations studies, and your level of using concepts for applicability purposes. If your assigned term paper focuses on the analysis of internat ional relations, your lecturer may require you to analyze the relations between two economic regions or countries. In case of the latter, your analysis may focus on a discussion of the entire international system, patterns of current military alliances, or the distribution of power across regions. International relations essay topics focus on the interaction between nations and other social, political, and economic dynamics that affect interactions between countries. Regardless of this semesters area of concentration in your international relations field of study, understanding the common and most essential elements in writing your term papers is important. Term papers involve a wide range of mechanics and dynamics that should be met in every single writing. This guide provides you with significant international relations term paper writing prompts and tips on how to select topics for your international relations term paper, basic pre-writing tips, the importance of thesis statements and how to formulate them, and the recommended structure of a term paper. Follow the guidelines to ensure you meet your professor’s expectations and adhere to term paper writings recommendations. Basic Term Paper Pre Writing Tips Most students think that composing their term paper is the hardest part of the writing process. You may be among this lot and you are probably wondering from where to start your writing process. This guideline provides six practical prewriting steps that you need to consider before you begin writing your international relations term paper. The discussed steps will become vital the higher you go in your education ladder and will help you improve your writing skills tremendously. Free your mind of any stressful events and occurrences. Term paper assignments give students intense stress because of the need to perform well in the paper, lack of adequate time, and inadequate knowledge of the term paper writing process. In this case, take a moment to breathe your anxiety out and to ensure you are focused on your term paper research and writing process. Plan ahead. An effective term paper will require a lot of planning. The planning is multifaceted because it involves planning the topic you will write about, the ideas you need to incorporate in your paper, and the sources that will justify your claims. Besides planning the topic you are going to write about, you should create a timeline to give you benchmarks to help you to stay on schedule. Brainstorm. Before you settle on one idea or a single topic for your term paper, take time to think of ideas in international relations that interest you. Thinking of current events, gaps in literature, and explore lecturer notes to open your mind to new possibilities that may form part of your term paper. Any ideas that come to your mind, in this step, are important and should be considered for evaluation. Explore your ideas. The brainstormed ideas form an important start to your research process. You may need to conduct preliminary research based on your ideas to develop appropriate topics for your term paper, develop useful ideas and arguments, and identity sources you may need to support claims you make in the term paper. A simple online research or review of international relations books and journals may help you generate topics and term paper ideas. Make an outline. Outlining refers to mapping out your ideas and arguments in a logical manner. The outline will ensure your ideas are presented coherently and bring out an appropriate structure and content for your term paper. Besides, it will help ensure that your drafting process proceeds smoothly and your term paper is concise and coherent. Step Away. Preparation for the term paper writing process and the actual compilation should occur separately. In this case, take at least an hour after constructing your ideas into a draft. Stepping away provides you with objectivity and a fresh attitude that allows to visualize errors you might have made when defining your ideas, selecting a topic, or crafting your draft. Appropriate Methods to Select a Topic for Your International Relations Essay Brainstorm for ideas. Select a topic that interests you. You may need to respond to the following questions to help you generate ideas for your international relations topic. Do I have a strong opinion on a current issue affecting international relations? Have I encountered recent news feeds that have piqued my interest or made me anxious about certain aspects of international relations? Do I have a personal issue or interest that I would explore in the field of study? Is there an aspect of the international relations class that I am interested in learning more about? Research background information. Once you have generated your ideas, it is time to conduct research on background information concerning your ideas. In this case, you can read journal articles on two or three topics you are considering. You could also search for information on the internet or discuss with peers about current issues affecting chosen aspects of international relations. Conducting research provides you with a summary that enables you to obtain an overview of the topic and see how your generated ideas relate to broader issues. You may also find words that are commonly used to describe an international relations topic. Focus on the topic. Focusing on a topic occurs after you have settled on a probable term paper topic. You should focus the identified subject matter by keeping it manageable in a way that it is not too narrow or too broad. If the topic is too broad, you can use geographical, time, discipline, or population limiters to narrow it down. Conversely, use expanders based on timelines, specific areas of study, population, or region to broaden the topic. Define your topic as a focused research question. Formulate research questions that will guide you when searching for information on the chosen research topic. The research questions not only help in identifying aspects of the topic that should be incorporated on a topic but also help in analyzing the direction your term paper is likely to take. The next step involves formulating a thesis statement. Tips from Our Writers to Help Your Formulate a Thesis Statement for Your Term Paper The thesis statement of your term paper should tell the intended audience how your paper will interpret the significance of the international relations subject matter under discussion. It should also provide a roadmap for the entire paper; this implies that it should tell the reader what to expect from the term paper. If your term paper topic is based on a question, the thesis statement should provide direct answers to the question. A thesis is: Often an interpretation of a question or subject, not the subject itself. One that makes a claim that others might dispute. Is one or two sentences sentence at the end of your conclusion. Writing a thesis statement is a lengthy process that occurs after you have developed an argument on any topic, collected and organized evidence, and looked for possible relationships between known facts. Once you have gathered all the necessary information, you can now develop a working thesis. However, you can alter the thesis statement along the way when necessary. Besides, a thesis statement should be strong enough to convince the reader and achieve the objective of your term paper. To evaluate the strength of your term paper, you should ask the following questions. Does my thesis statement answer the study questions? Ensure you re-read the question prompt for your term paper after constructing the thesis statement to maintain the focus of the paper. Does my thesis statement present a position that others might challenge or oppose? If your thesis statement simply states facts, it is not strong enough. It should not also provide facts that cannot be challenged or disagreed with. Is my thesis statement specific enough? Your thesis statements should not be too vague. If it is too vague, try making it specific by limiting its scope or explaining why you take a certain position. Does my thesis statement pique the reader’s interest?
